Parramatta Stadium joins the NSW Government's shared web platform

This week has welcomed the launch of Parramatta Stadium's new Plone website hosted on the NSW Government Chief Information Office shared web platform.

Parramatta Stadium Trust provides a multi purpose sporting arena for the conduct of football matches, sporting, entertainment and community events. The trust required a total redesign and redevelopment of the old site that was difficult to update, visually unappealing and was not able to upgrade easily with Web 2.0 technologies.

PretaWeb created a new dynamic design that reflected the active and exciting image the trust wanted to convey. The Plone content management system provided an enterprise grade technology that was easy to update and provided web features that enhance the visitor’s experience such as:

  • events calendaring,
  • RSS
  • rolling news portlet
  • dynamic sponsorship portlet.

The website is fully compliant with the Government’s web directive that covers W3C accessibility standards and branding guidelines.
